Threads For Audio/Midi

  • Subject: Threads For Audio/Midi

I'm working on a lightweight audio/midi app that uses different
threads for audio, midi, drawing and input handling. I'm currently
using Boost.Threads to get things done, but I'd like o see how NSTread
is used in the context of audio.

I believe that both NSTreads and Boost.Treads are wrappers around
Posix pthreads, but is there any advantage of using NSTreads in Cocoa
apps?

What are you guys doing for play/pose/record audio/midi data on
separate threads?

Thanks,
