Virtual Audio Device

Hello,

I am new to Audio Development in Mac OS X and I am interested in developing a Virtual Audio Device to render multichannel audio to stereo using HRTF.

I've read a little bit about the different technologies offered, and it seems to me that I should be using Core Audio HAL. I would like to know if I should be considering something instead.

I've been looking for more in-depth documentation for Core Audio HAL, and some Readme in Xcode 3.0 says that the documentation should be available in:

/Developer/Examples/CoreAudio/Documentation/HAL/index.html

Any ideas where is that documentation available?

Thanks,
Pepe
