Midi Output not avail.

Hi,
I'm trying to figure out how midi is outputted on the system side.

I have a stadard terratec audio/Midi USB device. It is shown in
Audio/Midi Setup. (Using 10.4.10)

But the Midi-Out isn't displayed in the list of Synths in System
Preferences. And I don't see a way of connecting a bus/session to the
interface.

So it ends up with QT Player using the internal synth, which I don't
need.

I want to play a QT Movie with sound, video and midi over the interface.

I know that gui is higher than coding but hope that one of you can see
the problem and direct me to some fix or tool that does so.

Technical answers welcome!
