The MOTU ultralight has 8 analog outputs. I'm trying to map them to
outputs of a matrix mixer.
I'm getting an error connecting to output channels other than channel
zero.
I set the number of outputs on the matrix mixer to be the same as the
number of outputs on the ultralight. Then I go spinning through them
connecting the output n of the mixer to the input of output n of the
ultralight. All but channel zero results in an error.
I have similar difficulties connecting to the output of the various
input channels. I can only connect to one. I spent a bunch of time
playing with HALLab. HALLab never seems to enable its controls and
trying the soft play through results in a signal passing from input 3
(the only one I have hooked up) being passed to output 1 (left channel
only) and this is not a clean signal - it just sounds like static.
So I'm kind of stuck - I'd like to see an example of what amounts to a
virtual patchbay between the inputs and outputs of such a device using
AUGraph and a MatrixMixer in the middle to allow routing from inputs
to outputs.
