Anyone have any idea what causes this ?

Folks.

Occasionally when opening a QuickTime movie, we see this error in the console:

"IOAudioStream[0x42d2b00]::clipIfNecessary() - Error: attempting to clip to a position more than one buffer ahead of last clip position"

Following this there is a good chance the Audio and Video will play out of sync when we start playback of the movie.

Does anyone have any idea what this error might be caused by ? Its an environmental issue, not a bug or configuration problem.

We tend to see this at the same time that we notice the movie taking much longer to open. We are opening over an NFS network connection so we think both observations point to a network related issue.

Any ideas ?

Thanks

Mark
