I can play about to try to get the best performance - it's a part of
programming - however with other types of development it is often
possible to get hold of design patterns, tutorials, blogs and books. I
am wondering if the only way to learn writing AU instrument plugins is
to play about, or if as with other types of development there are some
good resources dedicated to sharing information on the subject.
The question about the low pass filter is just an example.. I would
really love to see some form of guide and tips on generic instrument
design/development somewhere, or maybe some more good open source AU
instruments that have well documented source.
