AudioQueuePause ?

What is the best way to pause a recording with AudioQueue? The problem we see is that while pausing works, the user gets a double ghost recording for a tiny portion right after a pause. So if the user is talking into the recording: "This is the sun" they would hear on the final recording "This is the sun un". 

I've tried stopping and starting the AudioQueue - that didn't work well. I tried flushing buffers, etc... I'd love to see a code snippet for a working without any side-effects recording pause :)
