It means that the view component that you specified - 'auvw'... - is returning NULL when FindNextComponent is called using a component description that you supplied. Ummm... the view component specified, can't be found.

I've no idea why this would be inconsistent.

One thing you can do is to run auval with the -sq option (it looks for components where the type is specified):

% auval -s auvw -q

You should see your view listed there - at least that means your view was found by the component manager. If its not listed there, then there is something wrong with your view component (which is what auval is suggesting)
