Awesome that you've been able to look over them already. The first
time I did a MIDI reset due to a stuck note I did it inside Kore. The
second time, bitten by wedging the MIDI and having to restart the OS,
I did it from Logic.
In that first instance things were so bad that just restarting Logic
and my other apps didn't bring MIDI back. When I tried to shut down
Logic it wouldn't and I had to force quit it.
I'm surprised about the Rewire thing. I only used it the once for
Ableton live. I definitely didn't have Ableton running this time.
Maybe I should just turn Rewire off altogether?

Ah, not in this case.. but my (external) sequencer application, Rytme,
does and I've been using it to drive a software instrument track in
Logic.
Rytme uses Pete Yandell's PYMIDI framework (that wraps the based
CoreMIDI stuff up in a nice Objective-C library) in both Rytme and my
previous sequencer Elysium.
Rytme is sending MIDI note on/off events and is using the CoreMIDI
future delivery feature to do so.
Is this a problem? I'd gotten the impression that it was not only okay
but an advantage of the CoreMIDI implementation.
Regards,
Matt
