If it is possible, I would really like to see a bug report with some way for us to reproduce the problem. We can also handle this with email if that is easier (email Michael and I separately)

I would also like to hear a better characterisation of your comment "AULab does some strange things...". As far as I am aware, this is not a correct statement, so there is some fundamental misunderstandings here (either on our part or yours)

Thanks

Bill

We're (mainly) talking about hosts that do not support Cocoa UIs. On
hosts that do, everything is fine. In AULab, you can choose which UI
to use and the Cocoa-over-Carbon-window UI approach does not work
correctly, because AULab does some strange things to Carbon windows. I
will ask Stephan if he can share the NorthPole version with this list
if you're interested to see for yourself.

Unfortunately, many hosts that support both Cocoa and Carbon UIs still
prefer the Carbon UI (such as AudioHijack), so it is important to have
an UI going in both cases.

AU Lab is Cocoa-based. Why would NorthPole be disguising a Cocoa UI as a
carbon one for use in a cocoa host? It would seem to me that this would
cause problems in other hosts such as Logic and GarageBand. You can have
both a cocoa and carbon ui at the same time. Many Cocoa hosts will choose a
cocoa UI view and fall back to carbon only if it is not available.
