NSSound - Extracting samples?

  • Subject: NSSound - Extracting samples?

Folks

I'm working on a sound editing application at the moment, and I note that I can put a NSSound on the pasteboard by using NSSoundPboardType.

I can fairly easily convert my internal audio representation into a NSSound, but I don't see any way to reverse the process -- to coerce (say) a .wav from the NSSound instance.

Is there any way for me to do this, or should I just give up and use my own internal pasteboard?

Cheers
Richard
