Offline Render modify PCM data and play out

  • Subject: Offline Render modify PCM data and play out

I finally got to the point where I have Audio Queue Services offline
rendering a buffer and core audio remoteIO playing the PCM data behind
it. However, for some reason I'm noticing that some files are
decoding faster than others and it's really throwing a huge problem in
my timing. Too slow and the latency becomes a problem, too fast and
well, we all know what happens then. Getting this is proving to be a
real balancing act and this is before worrying about interruptions and
their speed associated with their callbacks.
Out of curiosity, has anyone managed to get that type of pipeline
working? Anyone have any good ideas for how to solve the timing
issues I'm having as I'm currently drawing a blank. Thanks all!

Thanks,
Steve
