Audio unit hosting

Thank you for the responses. Actually, I have already reviewed all of the AU host examples. I have been able to instantiate an AU view in a window, but the controls in the view do not respond to user input. A thread on this mailing list (from 2003) on a similar problem to which I referred in my earlier post included two comments of interest: 1). the audio unit is responsible for installing carbon event handlers, and 2). a run loop needs to be running for the carbon events to "just work". So: what does the host application have to do? Which run loop are we talking about here? Why wouldn't the main event loop be picking up these events?

Thanks.

jhm
