iPhone switching output

Is it possible to implement a switch to change the audio route on the iphone ?

i know i can set the, kAudioSessionOverrideAudioRoute_Speaker , kAudioSessionOverrideAudioRoute_None

but what is the proper way to trigger the change from a UI switch ?
