I am writing a custom audio unit that functions similarly to the
sonogramview demo. The problem is evident when using that audio unit
as well. I am using a basic setup in AU Lab which works fine, file
generator with sonogramview effect on master mix. I am writing a
host app as well and for some reason when i feed a mixer unit into the
sonogramview i get nothing but buzzing on the output. The augraph
looks fine. I tried to replicate the augraph that au lab generates
and I get buzzing. If I feed the generator into the visualizer
directly it works fine. It seems to be a problem with the mixer unit
output connecting to the sonogram input. What is the best way to
debug this? My custom unit works fine in garage band and aulab, but i
suspecting these programs may be explicitly setting a property such as
stream format. Any ideas?
