Hi Bill,
Thanks for the information, but could you provide a URL link to the
FLAC codecs and file components that Apple has posted/uploaded?
When I look at flac.sourceforge.net, all I see are the builds of the
1.1.4 FLAC tools that I provided. They still have not posted the
1.2.1 build that I provided. Where were the Apple sources posted?

afconvert will do this, and it will do it for FLAC if you install
the FLAC pieces
We have posted on the FLAC website both a FLAC codec pair (audio
codec or encode and audio codec for decode), and a FLAC file
component (to read and write FLAC files)
If you build and install both of these pieces, then all of the core
audio tools will work with FLAC content

I need to develop a rather simple application that converts from
Wav and AIFF files to Apple Lossless or FLAC files and back to Wav
or AIFF so, where can I get the Apple Lossless codec? I mean, is
it for free from Apple or do I need to purchase it?
