I love the bug reporter, it has a build-in self-reference :-) Each time I try to report something, it presents this error message:
"An error has occurred. Please report the error to Apple Inc. by emailing the error detail to email@hidden."

Then, to prove that it's really broken, it presents me a link
"For more details on the error, click this link: Error Detail"

and clicking "Error Detail" does just nothing...

It's an absolutely flawless example of buggy code and it also knows how to preserve its state of buggyness because I can't report it to itself :-)

No offense meant, I'm just joking. I'll go mailing to email@hidden now.

So obviously I can't do my pitch control (on desktop by the way) with audio

have been reading so far, this is where it gets difficult for beginners due
to the lack of documentation...

If you don't think there's enough documentation (I agree with you, by the way... there's a ton of sample code and stuff but relatively no technical publications) file a bug at bugreport.apple.com saying so. They'll only know you want more docs if you tell them :)

That blog is immensely helpful. It's been on my Bookmarks bar for a few weeks now because it's just that useful.

Final question: since CA documentation is so sparse, wouldn't it be a good
idea to create a common place where the blog/forum/mailing list knowledge is
bundled? I'm thinking something simple like del.icio.us or a thread "Core
Audio for beginners" in this list. Or are there legal (or other) issues with
that? I couldn't find anything of that kind yet. And I'm new to this list so
I don't really dare to do it myself here :-).

There's a wiki at http://www.cocoadev.com which would be perfect for compiling information on CA, considering that's the kind of thing it's designed for :)
