Why not special case the carbon view publication to host that you
know (by host identifier and version) only do carbon hosting, but
otherwise always just publish the cocoa view (or both even) - AULab
handles seeing both (it just prefers the Cocoa view), so I don't
know why this is a problem for host apps
Yeah that's probably a much better idea and I imagine any new or
updated hosts will follow the Cocoa first route.
