Klaus,
You can change the input names of each track by selecting the track
that you want to rename (it should be surrounded by a yellow selection
border), and choosing "Edit Selected Group" from the Edit menu. If you
have multiple outputs, you can edit each output track name by
selecting the output track group and choosing "Edit Selected Group"
from the Edit menu. The Track Name edit text field corresponds to the
selected track under output settings. This is explained in the Help
under "Outputs".
Make sure that you toggle the disclosure triangle at the top of the
input track. This allows you to see the input meters. This is
documented in the "Audio Input Tracks" section of "Using the AU Lab
Window" in the documentation.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for reply !
and yes, with AU Lab 2.01 I was able to open the documents and save,
then
open with AU Lab 1.03.
Other issuea with AU Lab 2.01 are here
1. Reopening the bus drawer resets the bus to 'pre' !
2. Input meters don't show here in AU Lab( MotU 896mk3 ), only with
versions 1.xx
3. I am unable to change i.e. input / output names , just the 1st
input name
Thanks and
best regards

Is there a special 'AU Lab' list ?
Thanks a lot

Thanks for reply
in my first post I wrote
I use AULab 1.03, input levels don't show on later versions on
my rigs...
And I use 10.4.11 because of software that will not run on 10.5.xxx
rigs means another Mac, another interface ( same type interface )
I start to suspect the interface and its internal ( ? ) number,
because upon trying to open the document created on another Mac,
I get the message that the interface was not found, although
an exact same type is present in the FW bus ...
thanks and best regards

The latest AU Lab version is 2.0.1 on 10.5.8 - any particular
reason
why you are working with 1.0.3 on 10.4.11? I'm pretty sure
documents
from newer versions of AU Lab work ok when moved between
machines (as
a matter of fact I remember doing this not long ago - I am using a
clone of my MacPro system on my MacBook Pro and I never had any
trouble opening AU Lab documents there).

Hi , first post, greetings to everyone
AULab is very helpfull
I use AULab 1.03, input levels don't show on later versions on
my rigs...
but
I can't open a document on another rig, similar audio interface
( same type
but a second unit )
Even when saved without AU plugs...
Rig 1 : Mac mini intel 10.4.11
Rig 2 : G4 mdd 10.4.11
Can somebody give an idea why the documents aren't
interchangable between
different rig ?
The installed components seem to be the same
Thanks a lot
and best regards
Klaus
