Michael,
thanks a lot for this tip!
I indeed checked my both targets and they were both set to 32 bit
universal. I thought the project-level setting would also apply to the
build targets, but now I set both the plugin and Cocoa UI to 32/64 bit
universal and wish me luck! :-)
I'll report back when I test this on a 64-bit machine.
Thanks again!
Best wishes,
Artemiy.

Artemiy,
The supplied template with XCode 3.1.4 on Leopard does work
correctly. I have verified this myself.
Here is what you need to do:
1) Set the active Build Configuration to release
2) Select the first target in your project (should be the same name
as the project)
3) Get info for that target and change the Architectures to 32/64
bit Universal. (Make sure you are editing the Release configuration)
4) Select the CocoaUI target in your project
5) Get info for that target and change the Architectures to 32/64
bit Universal. (Make sure you are editing the Release configuration)
6) Select the project group (the first item in the project outline
view)
7) Verify that it is set to 32/64 bit Universal for the Release
configuration
This is all you need to do and it should work correctly.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the support, David! But I really have no clue where to
search for this...
Could you please confirm that XCode 3.1.4 on Leopard is able to do
everything correctly? Or I really need to upgrade to 3.2 on Snow
Leopard? I think this is what I should do to find out ;-)
Thanks again.
Artemiy.
