Simulating no audio route

  • Subject: Simulating no audio route

The iPod Touch has no built-in audio input.
When testing on the simulator and on the iPhone, this fact isn't a problem, but has bitten me when I've submitted to the app store, or finally tested on a friend's iPod Touch. I don't own an iPod Touch, and would prefer not to have to buy one just for testing.

How can I force the iPhone simulator or iPhone device to act as if it had no audio input route?
