Hi all
Sorry to post off topic, but since we're talking multichannel sound I wonder if anyone knows of a USB adapter which will drive a 5+1 home audio system - and will appear in Audio Midi Setup as a true 5+1 device.
Previously I have used a Griffin FireWave but this is no longer an option since MacBooks no longer have a firewire connector (and the FireWave is no longer being made). Each time I do a web search I can see a number of possible alternatives, but none of them will admit to being Mac compatible.
