So is there a reasonably priced product which I can plug into a USB on my MacBook and connect to my 5.1 speaker system, which will then appear in Audio Midi Setup as a true 5.1 device? A couple of years ago, the late lamented Griffin FireWave did this to perfection but it's no longer an option because it's now discontinued, and my MacBook doesn't have a Fire Wire socket anyway! As a result of this my 5.1 speaker system has been collecting dust for the last year.

Thanks

Bob
