Oh, it sounds like nice quality stereo, and the Image on my flat
screen TV
looks good at 1920*1080 pixels, but I'm disappointed that the audio
interface is so uninteresting.
Yes, this is pretty disappointing (we're still waiting for ours).
Particularly given that USB can quite easily handle more than 2
channels.
So, it really does look like the only people can use an HDMI
interface to
output multichannel information are those with the latest iMacs.
Shame...
Apple - Please can you do something to fix this limitation?
You need to read through the previous comments, I'm not going to
reiterate them.
HDMI based
audio communication is the future. I'm sure it's not beyond Apple's
engineers to come up with a MiniDisplay+USB -> HMDI that does it
properly....(or someone else?)
seems like whoever manufactured the current interface needs to hear
back from users that it is not quite there yet.
