Which OS Version should I target?

Hello all,

I am new to this list and also to AU programming and I am in the process of setting up a development environment. My question is: what OS version should I target? At the moment I have in mind to use leopard so that PPC users can use my software. Would that be the right thing to do or should I start with snow leopard right away? Are there still many PPC users among your customers? Thanks for any answers!
