Thanks! This is very valuable information (and quite in line with what I
expected).
One more newbie question: Is it much hassle to build a universal binary
on a system that runs on snow leopard (OSX.6) or could I save me some
headache using the previous OSX.5?

mind to use leopard so that PPC users can use my software.
Would that be the right thing to do or should I start with snow leopard
