Looks like the usual AGC effect to me. Not sure if there is a way to
turn this off. Using a cell phone for doing measurements like this
really is a bad idea as there is a lot of DSP going on (ambient noise
cancellation, AGC, echo cancellation asf) so the readings will always
be more or less tainted.
