I'm sorry, I didn't meant it that way. In general, 32/64bits fp
precision are more than enough for audio purposes and if they don't
offer enough dynamic range I think it is perfectly valid to ask if the
algorithm can be changed to make it more stable at the usual word
lengths. This is a common problem with IIR filters for example, for
which several forms exist that allow greater stability at lower word
lengths.
