Hi,
I'm building an ipad app. My audio graph is essentially a copy from the iPhoneMixerEqGraphTest example, a mixer -> eq -> remoteIO. My render function is different, it plays an audio buffer at certain times and puts silence in the rest, so what goes out of the mixer would be silence with some sound at certain times.
On the ipad, the volume and pitch seems to oscillate, so it would start playing ok, and after a while the volume would change and the pitch gets distorted and then it comes back to being ok and so forth. When I run the app in the simulator it runs fine, volume and pitch are steady. I tried removing the eq unit, thinking maybe it's introducing some distortion, but there is no change without it.
Not sure how to go about debugging it? Any ideas as to what I might be looking for are appreciated. I don't understand why on the simulator it plays perfectly but on the device I get these volume/pitch oscillation, it's almost like a bug in remoteIO on the device, except if it were a bug, playing music from the built in music player would have suffered too.
Any suggestions appreciated.
