Tahome, I owe you a free release version of the plugin! :-)
I simply changed my view class to NSControl instead of NSView and it
started working properly immediately. I will get back to this thread
if something isn't perfect, but so far it seems that this did the trick.

Yes, I am doing this directly in my view, guess that's the issue. I
am
drawing stuff in it's drawRect method and have the mouse event
handlers
directly in the @implementation.
But how do I go about using the NSControl layer on top of my view?
