Hi!
I was wondering if it is possible to build an AudioUnit plugin that
sends out MIDI CCs and echos incoming MIDI messages to a specific MIDI
port or MIDI track in Logic and how one would go about programming such
a thing. The goal of the effort is to create a plugin that acts as a
patch editor for one or the other MIDI capable hardware device in order
to integrate patch editing and storage with a Logic project instead of
relying on an external patch editor. Maybe there is an easier way of
accomplishing this. For example, in Max4Live I could use a Max MIDI
instrument as a patch editor, but I'd rather have this work in Logic (as
well). On a related note: My /Developer/Examples/CoreAudio/ directory
only contains the SinSynth example (Xcode 3.2.4 on Mac OS 10.6.5). There
should be other examples dealing with MIDI and the like as far as I
know. Where can I find the rest of the sample code? The
developer.apple.com site to me seems like a maze of twisty little
passages, all alike, so any pointers would be appreciated.
Thomas
