i wonder if anyone could comment on the likely success of trying to
build portaudio for iOS. its not clear to me whether "CoreAudio" on
iOS is better described as "CoreAudio from OSX plus a bunch of new
APIs" or "CoreAudio in spirit and style, but really a whole different
set of APIs". i'm doing some work that requires a common audio backend
for a large variety of platforms, and to date, portaudio seems like
the most likely candidate. however, iOS is one of the targets, and i'm
not sure its an option there....
