Hi Paul,
I did something similar with RtAudio, but had to write a new driver
instead of using the existing CoreAudio code. The namespace are similar,
but the actual code required to start a remote audio units quite
different. The specifics of iOS devices (plugging and unplugging
headsets) is also quite different from the OSX world.
