I just came across this: http://dirac.dspdimension.com and thought
some of you might appreciate hearing about it. Apparently they just
released version 3 of the algorithm.

Contrary to the time stretching on iOS (kAudioUnitSubType_AUiPodTime
et al) this appears to work with polyphonic audio in real time as well
and it's a cross platform library. You can even create the T-Pain/Cher
effect with it (need to try that out).

Disclaimer: I'm not affiliated with the author of that web site but I
am using Dirac v2 in my own products and I quite like it. Also, FWIW
their support is excellent.
