agreed, but logic switches the output to surround when using a bus or channel with more than 2 outputs. Therefore that would lead to a pretty bad user experience when using a 4-4 plug-in. So I need to keep the plug-in a stereo effect, that uses 4 inputs.
Yes, I ment 4-in/2-out.

agreed, but what's the point in developing a plug-in that isn't compatible with the most significant host?
Still need input if there is another method to use a 4-in/2-out plug-in other than using the sidechain bus as an input... _______________________________________________
