I have some questions I am hoping the list can help me with. I have an app that uses the AUAudioFilePlayer. I understand everything up to playing the sound file. The part I am having trouble is with stoping then either resuming or starting from the beginning.
I know to stop the sound file i call AudioUnitReset and in the docs that this function "resets an audio units render state". It also say that "your application should reset the audio unit before adding it back to the render chain..." Thats the part that confuses me. What does reset mean?
Also, as part of this, I understand that it is the ScheduledAudioFileRegion that sets the playback position. So how do I obtain the current position at the point of the user pressing stop, so when the user presses play it can resume from the same position?
Thanks ahead of time!
