MIDI Flow Delayed After Replug

Hello,

Wonder if anyone knows why it takes 15 seconds after an external usb midi device is unplugged/replugged for midi data to flow again?

I've instrumented the midi driver plug-in and see that it's getting data immediately after the replug.

When I detect that the endpoint has gone offline, I do a MIDIClientDispose then reopen the client with MIDIClientCreate and create the ports with MIDIOutputPortCreate then find and connect the endpoints.

If I don't unplug, but call my regular close and reopen procedures, data flows again immediately.

Is there a better way for me to clean up after the endpoint goes offline?

Thanks,

--Chuck
