Speeding up USBMIDI in Lion

  • Subject: Speeding up USBMIDI in Lion

Hello,

we build a USB to MIDI interface that ships with our drum machines that also
has the ability to increase the bitrate x10. This way we make
transfer of samples and dumping of patches more bearable to the user.

When our software get information (using MIDI) from the interface that the
speed is increased we use the function

MIDIObjectSetIntegerProperty(destination,kMIDIPropertyMaxSysExSpeed,3125*speed);

to inform OS X.

This no longer works for us in Lion. There is no speed increase sending.

So today we tried compiling our own driver modifying the example SampleUSBMIDIDriver
and calling MIDIObjectSetIntegerProperty from there. Still no result.

Does anyone know how to do this in Lion?

best regards
