Couldn't feeding your UI (or UI triggering alg) a load of NANs be the cause of your UI not responding?

This happened to me yesterday and I was able to turn on the debugger and find that my output buffer was filled with NaN's. That's obviously a problem somewhere in my code and not a problem I should ask this list to solve for me.

Users reporting that this stops suggests that the callback may sometimes stop running. Is this possible? It seems unlikely that feeding the RemoteIO callback a stream of NaNs would cause it to stop running, but I figure I should check anyway.
