I've only given you half the story with that link. The first part of
that blog posts talks about how you get the URL of a track. The second
part only became possible after that blog post was written: use the
URL to create an AVURLAsset, which you then use to create an
AVAssetReader. Hook up an AVAssetReaderTrackOutput to get access to
the audio track's data.
