You know what else would make this a lot easier? If Audio Toolbox supported the special URLs that Media Player uses for iPod Library items. Then you could cut out the piggy AV Foundation and just read from the iPod library with an ExtAudioFile to get PCM.

Sorry about the delays on the book. Paid work keeps getting in the way. Damn dirty money. But I did get the first of two OpenAL examples coded this week and hope to get the second one tomorrow.
