In case this is ever helpful to anyone else, we have now solved our problem with our plugs in SoundTrack Pro...
In
our GetParameterInfo we were returning AudioUnitParameterInfo.unit as
kAudioUnitParameterUnit_LinearGain. When we changed this to
kAudioUnitParameterUnit_Generic (as it should have been), this got
things working again.
