saving and restoring all state of an AudioUnit

  • Subject: saving and restoring all state of an AudioUnit

Hi everyone,

kAudioUnitProperty_ClassInfo is supposed to represent "the complete state of an audio unit", but in some cases it does not.

For example, in Apple's AUMatrixMixer, I have to separately save and restore kAudioUnitProperty_MatrixLevels to get volume levels.

Are there any guidelines available that will ensure I'm capturing *all* state of an AU when trying to save state to restore later?

(And what am I misunderstanding about kAudioUnitProperty_ClassInfo?)

Thanks,
