latency on sidechain bus

  • Subject: latency on sidechain bus

Hi,

I noticed that, using logic 8 as a test host, the plug-in's reported latency is only taken care of in the channel it is inserted. However, a signal that is routed to the sidechain doesn't use any latency compensation. Therefore the main channels signal is heard earlier than the side chain signal.
As this is a very critical problem for me at the moment: Is there any way to get around this, apart of not using latency compensation at all? Are other hosts known to handle this differently?

thanks,
Stefan _______________________________________________
