Hi Paul,
Yes, I didn't make it completely clear.. I was initially trying to save
presets on MOTU plugins which do seem to go to the Digital Performer folder.
My plugin saves to a our manufacturer subfolder of Library/Audio/Presets/.

if the plugins are created by other manufacturers this is wrong. the
preset path is supposed to be based on the name of the plugin
manufacturer, not the host.
this way, you can use those same presets with the same plugin while
working in another another host - a genuinely nice feature of the
AudioUnit spec.
