Interesting Update.
Apple have now removed references to AMR support! I guess that's how
you close a hardware bug so fast...
eg. table 1-1 'iOS Hardware and Software Audio Codecs' no longer
includes the AMR entry, not even a deprecated note. It was there a
couple of days ago. Just a silent delete, I find that quite shocking!
They could have least made a library available for static linking or
something. Dare I even try to use G.726 and potentially lose another
several weeks work.
Apologies for the whine/vent, I'm just really shocked by this.
