Sure, there are other places that seem to host the list archive (i.e., yes, 'Google is your friend'), but I don't seem to find as much... Not sure why... And anyway, even with Google, the top 5 hits are usually from the list. So, the list is a life-saver. I hope it comes back soon.

I don't know how urgent is urgent but I did try contacting the postmaster, got a "please confirm you would like to be removed from the mailing list" email in response. Audio is fiddly stuff, I don't think the level of documentation that is required to cover every use case will ever be there so the list archives are sometimes the only other alternative. I don't want to get abusive or angry about it but I would just like it to be known that I for one am very frustrated by the apparent lack of concern for developers.
