Some CoreAudio examples I found very useful are the ones included with
the free DiracLE package:
http://dirac.dspdimension.com
Even if you don't need their time stretching and pitch shifting
library they're very good as starting point for doing all kinds of
file or stream based processing on MacOS X and iOS (they have examples
for Windows and Linux also).
