Yes, and as Paul pointed out earlier, most of the various steps of the build process are well-known unix processes like cc/gcc/clang, ld, etc. (codesign might be an exception). You can see the raw commands and their output in Xcode, and then duplicate them in your own makefile, ant build.xml etc.
I'd like to posit that this discussion is no longer related to the Core Audio API and ought to continue in some other venue.
