Paul,

I'm not sure that I fully understand what you're getting at. AULab can
in fact use 'aufc' plug ins in a realtime context (for a source that
is non-realtime, such as a file that is being played back). This is
consistent with what Bill said and supported by what I am seeing in
AULab.

Now, I am not sure whether AULab is instantiating the 'aufc' or 'auol'
variant of the plug in for this, but it definitely works in realtime
so I would guess I could achieve the same behaviour by following
Bill's instructions. However, my own attempt at creating a comparable
'aufc' AU appears not to produce the same result, which has me
puzzled.

In other words: there seems to be some secret recipe that AUVarispeed
and AUTimePitch use in order to get them to appear in AULab that my
plug in doesn't. I'd really like to know what that could be...!
